Well, since SOME people who are going
to visit this site are so UN-cult :P well, let's start my web page by answering the question: "What's Anime?". Many people
around the world (especially here in Puerto Rico where all you can hear are the bass speakers and the "bum bum" sounds in the
cars T-T yeah I know..sad) do not know about anime.
Animeアニメ (an abbreviated pronunciation in Japanese of "animation")
comes from my favorite country, JAPAN; it's a way or form (like many refer to it) of cartoons
which originated in 1917. The special things (or what makes it so unique) of this "japanese cartoons" are that they exagerate
everything and that makes the anime kinda funny (NOT! it *IS* funny! ^.^).
With their BIG round eyes, tiny nose like
a triangle and tiny thin line mouth the anime ratings are from "G" (General Audience) to "X" (Mature Audience). There's
everything from action, romance and drama to "hentai" へんたい (which is the "X" rated; the "japanese porn cartoons". The word itself means "pervert".)
The other things are the "mangas"
or the "japanese comics" (sometimes also called komikku コミック) which
most of the anime originated from or viseverse. Mostly both have the same plot but since the mangas are drawings;
japanese illustrators have the facility to "extend" the plot and just make it longer than what the animes are and they
also put things that in the anime might not appear.
